Dandenong High School – Performing Arts and Sporting Complex Dandenong, Melbourne

Inspiring a passion for learning with high quality facilities and learning settings, the Melaleuca Performing Arts and Sporting Complex is designed to engage and stimulate artistic, creative and athletic abilities of students. Available for hire outside school hours, these school performing arts and sports facilities are working harder than ever and help to strengthen the school’s relationship with the broader community.

The Malaleuca contains fully equipped music labs, recording studios and instrumental music suites. An adaptive dance studio caters for classical through to contemporary dance classes and the 350 seat theatre is designed for both professional performances and as a lecture-style venue providing senior students with opportunities for university-style learning. The facility also includes a drama workshop and improvisation and performance areas, and the double sized gymnasium space provides competition sized Basketball, Netball, Volleyball and Badminton courts.

The project is Stage 3 in a major and ongoing regeneration project which began with the amalgamation of three existing schools, and over 2000 students, into one new campus. Additionally, Stage 3 involved the refurbishment of the senior science centre.
