Authored by Hayball

Hayball is delighted to announce the appointment of David Tordoff as Studio Director of its Sydney office.

David brings to Hayball extensive experience in small and large firms across Australia and the UK, predominantly in the areas of multi-unit residential and education, in addition to delivering projects in the hospitality and commercial sectors.

With exemplar attention to detail and the ability to blend quality, creative design with commercial imperatives, David is a dynamic force in the architecture industry, with numbers of awards to his name including the AIA Sulman Medal for public architecture, multiple UDIA Awards and, globally, joining the ranks of architects shortlisted for the World Architecture Awards.

Managing director, Tom Jordan, welcomes David’s depth of architectural expertise and strong interpersonal skills to Hayball’s growing Sydney practice.

“We’re thrilled to have David join our team and help our practice cement its footprint on the eastern seaboard. His fresh perspective and strong business knowledge combined with a commitment to high standards of architectural practice and design excellence complement Hayball’s values as well as our vision moving forward.”

Relishing the challenges his new role is set to bring, David  is excited about the opportunity to grow the Hayball team and brand in Sydney, with the support of Hayball Melbourne.

“I’m thrilled to be given the chance to work amongst some of the most creative, design oriented minds in the architecture space, and to be able to put my own stamp on the business as it takes flight in Sydney,” he said.

“The role of studio director presents a unique opportunity to not only grow an esteemed architectural studio, but also to be able to design thought-provoking, commercially viable, beautiful spaces that will contribute to Sydney in a great way.”
