Hayball is proud to announce the promotion of three integral staff members, in recognition of the specialist roles they provide in supporting our business. The recognition of these specialist roles reflects Hayball’s ongoing commitment to developing dynamic and unique talent within the national practice.
Fiona Phan has been promoted to the role of National Finance Manager. “This is a role she has effectively undertaken for some time, but that now needs to be formally recognised,” said Tom Jordan, Co-Managing Director. He adds, “She has always taken a national perspective on the practice, and this is something that becomes increasingly important as we grow our studios in Sydney and Brisbane.” Fiona’s business acumen, skill in risk management, approach to improving practices and efficiencies, and role as a mentor to the finance team continue to play an important part in shaping Hayball’s future.
Mitchell Harris has been promoted to the role of Associate Studio Manager. The new title for Mitchell recognises that he is fundamental to the day-to-day running of the Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane studios. “He is interested in the things you need to do to support other people to do a really good job. It’s a really unique skill set” says Sydney Director, Dave Tordoff. Mitchell supports Hayball nationally through designing systems and processes that make the firm function fluidly, providing IT support, undertaking contract reviews, and managing our communications platforms.
Ela Rajapackiyam has been promoted to the role of Associate BIM Manager. Ela has been with Hayball from the embryonic days of BIM management, and with the ever-increasing changes to architectural software and systems, her role is increasingly important. Director Bianca Hung notes, “Her passion for growing and evolving how we deliver projects, coupled with the wealth of experience she has both as a trained architect and BIM enthusiast, places her in a unique position to assist project leaders in the strategic approach to delivering projects.”
