Hayball is now proudly Carbon Neutral

09 February 2021

Authored by Hayball

As a signatory of Architects Declare, Hayball shared a commitment with thousands of architects in Australia and around the world to going carbon neutral in 2020.

We are pleased to announce that our practice achieved this goal in December 2020. Hayball is now a certified carbon neutral business under the NoCO2 certification.

Through our engagement with the Carbon Reduction Institute, we established our carbon footprint baseline which enabled us to identify areas for future sustainable improvements and minimise our carbon emissions at the source. To balance our unavoidable emissions, we carefully chose two rigorous carbon offset programs with socio-cultural, economic, and environmental benefits in India and Cambodia.

We understand that our work has a significant social and environmental impact. Becoming carbon neutral is a first step in the right direction and we will continue to endeavour to make a real, positive change to mitigate the climate crisis.
