Hayball and Tract collaborated on the design and delivery of the first major project in Fisherman’s Bend Precinct — transforming a previously industrial area into a new Vertical School and community precinct.

The Ferrars Street Education and Community Precinct took the top honour at the City of Port Phillip 2020 Design and Development Awards — winning the Non-Residential Development Award of Excellence, and receiving a Commendation in the Sustainability category.

Mayor Bernadene Voss said Port Phillip’s Design and Development Awards contributed to the atmosphere, style and liveability of the City.

“Port Phillip is the place where design, innovation and heritage meet to form the backdrop of our City. The entrants to the Design and Development Awards 2020 all demonstrated a vision and commitment to design excellence in Port Phillip. As we move toward our COVID-19 recovery phase, we will need your creativity and ideas more than ever,” Cr Voss said.

“Once again, the Design and Development Awards attracted a high standard of entrants. Congratulations to category winners and commended projects.”
